Organic and Inorganic Chemistry Difference

                Organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry are two main branches of chemistry.


Organic chemistry deals with organic compounds containing carbon and hydrogen atoms.
  • These compounds form covalent bond
  • The rate of reaction is slow of these compounds
  • They are poor conductor of electricity
  • Insoluble in water
  • Founds in living things
  • These compounds cannot make salts
  • Simple structure

Inorganic chemistry deals with compound in composition other than carbon atoms.
  • These compounds form ionic bonds
  • Rate of reaction is high
  • Good conductors of heat and electricity
  • Soluble in water
  • Found in non-living things
  • These compounds make salts
  • Complex structure
